I love writing poetry…it’s like painting pictures with words! I have written off and on for years, but in 2001, some circumstances that transpired in my life, nearly did me in. I needed to express what was on my heart and poetry was an avenue for that. When I look back on the poems from 2001 until now….you can literally see the progression of healing. It’s just such vivid proof of God’s healing and restorative power. I want people to understand that and be encouraged that no matter what they are facing….they are not alone. That their self-worth is not established by “man”…but by God. My heart’s desire is to convey through the poems what a wonderful Heavenly Father we have. He never throws in the towel where we are concerned.

I am an “Air Force brat” and have been so blessed to travel to many countries…always a new adventure! I’m a mom to 2 grown children and “Mammie” to 3…Dallas, Savannah and Elijah…and one more on the way! Besides writing, I love all things Winnie the Pooh, reading, stickers, praise & worship music (and oldies!) laughing (a sense of humor is essential in today’s world!), and being with family and friends.
